Meeting No. 46 - February 16, 2005
Holiday House Restaurant, Orlando, Florida
THIS MONTH'S TOPIC:
OUR RELATION WITH THE "OLD WORLD", PART II
The English and the French – have we ever had such a clear distinction in relations among us and these two "Old World" countries?
The answer: "Oh, yes!" This month we'll continue to discuss "Jefferson, the Colonies, The French and the Indians – The Legacy of the French and Indian War".
We are in the midst of the 250th anniversary of the French and Indian War (In Europe called the "Seven Years War"). Thomas Jefferson was 11 years old. On Wednesday night (about 6:30) at The Holiday House (In the La Quinta Hotel, Lee Road and I-4) we’ll discuss this war and how it helped make us who we are today. Hope to see you.
